HMC2 Community Association is a section 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our non-profit was created for the purpose of serving the community residents within the Haddington, Morris Park, Cathedral Park, and Carroll Park neighborhoods of West Philadelphia.
HMC2 Community Association aims to:
-
benefit the public by combating community deterioration and lessening neighborhood tensions
-
improve the quality of life of members who live in the HMC2 areas
-
seek the opinions and concerns of members regarding pertinent neighborhood issues, and by the best means possible, address the concerns and opinions of the majority of the members,

actively pursue the economic and social values of the HMC2
neighborhood environment

educate and inform the residents through informational sessions and to increase public awareness about education, public safety, and other community issues affecting the HMC2 neighborhoods."
WHO WE ARE
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Pastor Zachary Ritvalsky has served as pastor of Sweet Union Baptist Church
in Philadelphia for 17 years. There, he was instrumental in helping to form Philadelphians Organized to Witness, Empower and Rebuild (P.O.W.E.R.), a social justice ecumenical organization that is comprised of more than 40 faith communities. Ritvalsky also oversaw the opening of the Carroll Park Center for Hope, Help and Healing, which provides legal, housing and job placement services to residents of West Philadelphia.
Additionally, Ritvalsky worked alongside community members to form the HMC2 Realty Development Corporation, a for-profit real estate development company financed, owned and operated by local community residents. Ritvalsky earned his M.A. in Theological Studies from Westminster Theological Seminary. He is currently the V. P. of Institutional Alignment at Lancaster Bible College.
He has previously held positions with LF Driscoll, Bristol Myers Squibb and
